New Delhi, 02nd April 2016: India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. revealed a growth rate of 44% in domestic (including Nepal) sales in March 2016, as compared to the corresponding period last year. This can be attributed to Yamaha's increasing focus on expanding in tier II and III cities, along with the company's innovative ongoing customer-centric activities and exciting product line up including Yamaha Fascino and FZ series, which continue to strengthen their position with great sale numbers.
The company sold 60,032 units in March 2016 as against 41,640 units sold in March last year in the domestic (including Nepal) market thereby registering a sales growth of 44%.
Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, "Though the Indian two wheeler market has seen a moderate growth of around 9% in the first quarter of 2016 as compared to the first quarter of last year, Yamaha has continued to ride the growth curve by marking a solid 47% sales growth during this period. Fuelled by Yamaha's innovative customer contact programs and increasing reach, Yamaha closed the March 2016 sales figures with 60,032 units being sold. Yamaha as a brand has managed to win the trust of its customers in sales and after sales activities by offering them an unforgettable experience of the brand."
