New Delhi, 11th December 2016: In a one-of-its-kind of initiative to change the buying experiences and also to continue building its aggressive network to reach out to its vast customer base in an effective manner, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., today inaugurated its 2nd dealership in Howrah, West Bengal under the banner of Technocon Services at Ankurhati, Near Ankurhati Check Post, NH-6.
The dealership covers an area of 17500 sq. ft. area for both sales and service and also provides a complete range of motorcycles and scooters including imported models of Yamaha. Looking at the growing demand for two-wheelers in the potential market for West Bengal, Yamaha has embarked on building a strong dealership network in this part of the country. The new showroom has been designed to provide a complete gamut of Yamaha's offerings and exhibit an entire range of motorcycles and scooters with prompt after sales service.
With the inauguration of new unit- Technocon Services in Howrah - the number of dealerships in West Bengal now rises to 26. It is noteworthy here that Yamaha sold more than 1 lakh vehicles (including exports) for two consecutive months (September & October) this year and now aims to achieve the sales figure of more than 1 million in 2017. The new dealership has been opened with the aim of meeting the growing demand for two-wheelers in the east zone.
Mr. Masaki Asano, Managing Director, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd., said "India is a very significant market for Yamaha and the plan is to spread out and increase its presence. Yamaha's drive towards network expansion aims at increasing service touch-points and ensure spare parts availability, which will further augment sales in the West Bengal market. Currently, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its customer touch points to more than 2600 across India and plans to increase it to 3,000 by the end of this year.
